It is conveniently situated approximately 20 miles north-west of Perth with access to the motorway network to Glasgow, Edinburgh and the A9 north.

Directions from Glasgow/South (M9)

From Glasgow take the M9 North. Leave the M9 to take the A822 following signpost for 'Tourist Route to Pitlochry'. Follow the A822 through Braco, Muthil and Crieff. Turn off at Gilmerton for Pitlochry and the Sma Glen.

Directions from Perth

Directions: Leaving Perth on the A85 Perth-Crieff road, continue out through West Huntingtower and past Almondbank. Entering the village of Methven, take a right turn opposite the Post Office, signposted for Glenalmond College. Continue on this road for approx 5 miles to the college then take a left. Continue on this road for a further 4 miles to the T-junction, then take a right turn, signposted Aberfeldy. Continue on for a further 4 miles and Sma' Glen Cottage is the first white cottage on the left hand side next to the road.

Alternative route: Leaving Perth on the A9 North, continue for approx 14 miles, taking a left turn signposted for Inver. Continue up this road for approximately 18 miles to the village of Amulree. Carry on through the village for a further 4 miles, and Sma' Glen Cottage lies on the right hand side.

Take the M90 to Perth then follow the above directions.
